My work builds on nuclear thermal-hydraulics to study the components and design concepts of next-generation reactors. Combining CFD analysis, flow visualization experiments, and thermodynamic system calculations, I focus on establishing how well a simulation model actually explains the real flow.

I propose design concepts for the key components of small modular reactors, such as steam generators, core flow distribution and passive safety systems, and back them with experimental data.
